Changes to Duo are coming

In Spring and Summer of 2024 several applications that use Duo for 2-Step Verification will look different.

The background

Duo is one of the 2-Step Verification methods that UNC-Chapel Hill uses to keep University systems safe and stay ahead of security threats. In February 2022, Duo released a new version of its web-based login screen. This is a continuation of a series of changes by Duo to increase accessibility and improve usability, which started with the mobile app update. All applications at UNC using the old prompt need to be changed to use the new prompt or an alternate solution. Most applications must be changed by March 30, 2024.
