Duo released an updated version of its web-based prompt. The updated version has a different look with some changes in functionality so the change will be noticeable to faculty, staff, and students. 

  • Current students accessing “Make a Payment/Pay Bills/Manage Student Finances/eRefund” in the Student Center in ConnectCarolina.
  • Current employees accessing their W2s or changing bank account information in “My Pay and Taxes” in ConnectCarolina.
  • Prior employees accessing their W2s in “My Pay and Taxes” in ConnectCarolina.
  • If you are accessing your direct deposit, W2 or paying a bill and have not already verified your identity with Duo when you log in to ConnectCarolina, you will notice the Duo page is hosted by duosecurity.com. 
  • Updated buttons provide clarity on information you are about to view.

Verify if the device you are on is your own or a device other people have access to.

When accessing direct deposit, W2, or Pay Bills if you have not already authenticated with Duo you are prompted to do so.
