What is changing
Duo released an updated version of its web-based prompt. With this update, the experience for individuals using a Cisco AnyConnect VPN connection at UNC will look different.
Who this change affects
- Everyone who uses a Cisco AnyConnect VPN connection to connect to UNC network resources outside of the UNC network (at home or off campus).
When the change is happening
You will see the Cisco AnyConnect VPN change starting April 10, 2024.
Noteworthy aspects of the change
The team is actively working on the change, updates will be shared if any adjustments are made.
Using Cisco AnyConnect to connect to the VPN at UNC will continue to require logging in with Onyen and password.
- When logging into VPN, you will use UNC single Sign-On (SSO).

After selecting your Group, a new window with UNC Single Sign-On (SSO) window will display. Enter your Onyen and password.
