Capstone ENEC-698

One type of “living shoreline” design

The class works as a team to address a real-world environmental question or issue for a client. Projects focus on coastal and marine systems. The fall 2022 Capstone course will assess the function of living shorelines, a type of green infrastructure to reduce shoreline erosion and flooding hazard. The class subdivides into specialized groups to work on components of the larger project. Students draw on skills learned throughout their UNC careers and bring their individual skill sets to the team effort.
