Recycling
Recycling helps UNC achieve all three of Sustainable Carolina’s goals. Recycling and remanufacturing products emits fewer greenhouse gases, uses less water, and produces less waste than making products from virgin materials. Since 1999, UNC-Chapel Hill has avoided sending more than 75,000 tons of recyclable materials to the landfill.
