Hi, welcome! I am a second year mathematics PhD student in the Department of Mathematics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I did my BA and MA in mathematics at Trinity College, University of Cambridge and M.S. in mathematics at Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, New York University. My advisor is Prof Justin Sawon.

I was born in Dalian(大连), China but grew up in Beijing(北京) in China, Sapporo(札幌) in Japan and Skipton, North Yorkshire in England. Indeed, Yorkshire is where I’ve spend half of my life, and I’ve lived in various parts of it. Prior to University I did a lot of Olympiad mathematics, and made the IMO Training and Selection Camp held at Trinity College, Cambridge in 2015, amongst other training camps held by the UKMT.

If I’m not doing maths I’m probably playing football(soccer), watching films, playing Weiqi(Go) poorly or having fun in video games. I’ve also spent a lot of time Speedcubing, and my WCA ID is 2013KONG01. Also, Manchester United is the best team in England, we’ve won it all.

My CV is available here: Curriculum Vitae.
