On November 5th, 2023, the Board of Elections certified the results of the fall 2023 general election. This included the passage of a referendum rewriting much of Chapter Two of the Student Constitution, “Laws Affecting Undergraduate Students.” This authorized the creation of a Transitional Council for undergraduate student government, in which “all powers delegated to the Undergraduate Executive Council, Officers, and The Senate” are vested until “the inauguration of the 106th Senate” in the spring. These amendments designated the most senior Undergraduate Justice on the Student Supreme Court, Acting Chief Justice Shue, as Chair of this Council. They also appointed the second most senior Undergraduate Justice, Justice Hoover, a member of the Council.

Materials related to the Council’s operations will be posted online. To see the initial letter sent to all members of the Council, please click here.
