Currently Participating

Are you currently participating in the STTAR study? If so, use the information below to track your study progress. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to our research staff!

Stage 1

This stage will be completed by both caregivers and adolescents. During this part of the study, each participants will receive a personalized link to questionnaires via email. These generally take between 1.5 to 3 hours to complete.

Stage 2

Similar to the first stage, this part of the study is completed by both caregiver and adolescent. This stage is a structured phone or Zoom interview with trained research staff and lasts around 2 hours.

 

 

 

 

Stage 3

Stage 3 is the only in-person portion of the study. It will only be completed by your adolescent and will take place at UNC Chapel Hill. This stage will involve playing games with trained research staff as well as an MRI scan that will provide valuable information on your adolescent’s brain development. This entire stage takes around 4 hours. 

 

Stage 4

Stage 4 is another short set of online questionnaires completed by your adolescent. During this part of the study, your adolescent will receive a personalized link to their questionnaires via email. These questionnaires take approximately 20 minutes to complete.
