Welcome!

Welcome!

Welcome to the Study of Toddler to Teenager Anxiety and Resiliency (STTAR)! This is a longitudinal follow-up to the Duke Preschool Anxiety Study (DPAS)  that took place at Duke Pediatrics in 2010. That first study provided us with incredibly useful information that greatly contributed to our understanding of anxiety. Now in this study, we are recontacting all the families who previously participated and asking for their help to continue what we started so many years ago! We are excited to see how our young participants have changed and developed as they progressed into their teenage years.

Many of our participants may no longer live in the area or even the country! Well that is no issue seeing as most of the study is completed virtually. It can be done from a computer, tablet or even a phone. We work around the schedule of our participants to ensure that we utilize any availability in their busy lives.

Our study includes the following four stages: a set of online questionnaires, an online interview, an MRI, and another set of online questionnaires. To learn more about the specifics of these stages, please visit the “Current Study” tab on this website.
