This week we met with our mentor, Mike, for the first time. Mike is very approachable and experienced; he shared with us many valuable insights that are especially helpful for our first meeting with the clients. He also gave many hearty advice on team management; for example, the essential roles a team must have such as, client manager and project manager and their respective responsibilities, how we should dictate team rules to make sure we deliver the best results as a team, and the most efficient mode of communication within the team. Mike also helped us to think in a bigger scope and more about the future so that we set clear and achievable goals for this semester and communicate this well with our clients. We are also able to set a meeting with our client on Tuesday and are very looking forward to learning more about our project.
