About

Welcome to our Global Food History Museum! We hope you enjoy exploring the wide world of food in this collective class project.

The exhibits in this digital museum were created by students in the first-year seminar, “Global Food History,” at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Spring 2022. Students chose their own topics related to any aspect of global food history, for which they identified at least three relevant primary sources to serve as exhibit artifacts. They then analyzed each artifact, developed a thesis for the exhibit as a whole, and wrote introductory essays utilizing secondary sources. These digital exhibits serve as an alternative to traditional research papers, encouraging students to develop public-facing research projects.

I would like to thank the following individuals for their help and insight in bringing these projects to fruition. Thank you so much for your time and expertise; we couldn’t have done it without you!
