Resilience interventions can do a lot to improve mental health and well-being, but many existing models are resource-intensive and rely on in-person trainings, which makes them hard to scale.
Dr. Jones, along with Dr. Derek Hales and the team from the UNC Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention (HPDP), is leading an exciting new project. They’re using a rigorous randomized trial to test a fully remote resilience intervention for childcare staff—a high-risk group of essential workers. The goal is to create a scientifically sound, scalable intervention that can be easily adapted for workplaces dealing with structural inequities.
