Great turnout of the Geometric Data Analysis group at UNC’s Data Science Day on Sep 26, 2024.

Aaron presented his poster on “Spatio-temporal analysis of brain functional connectome”, summarizing his work from last year funded by a Data Science seed grant. He won 3rd place in the poster prize competition!

Amartya presented his recent paper “Trajectory inference in Wasserstein space”, which is also available on the arXiv as a preprint. He won the 2nd place in the poster prize competition!

Chuxiangbo presented a poster on “Linear independent component analysis in Wasserstein space”; unfortunately, no picture was taken. The corresponding paper, however, is available as a preprint.

Kaitlyn presented her recent work on “Applications of Gromov-Wasserstein Barycenters to Classification Problems”.

Congratulations everyone!
