Anjerul is a PhD student in the Environmental Science and Engineering Program at the Gillings School of Public Health. Prior joining, Anjerul worked at the UNC Water Institute with a focus on analyzing WaSH monitoring and evaluation data, including sanitary inspection data, and developing tools for improving water quality monitoring and sustainable service delivery. In addition, his research interests include solid understanding of potential environmental risks to public health and evaluating WaSH interventions to provide evidence based real world solutions with a precedence to LMIC.
Anjerul got his Master’s in Sustainable Water Management from Tufts University and bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from BUET. He also has 4 years of WaSH field experience at urban informal settlements in Bangladesh with icddr,b. Anjerul is co-advised by Joe Brown and Aaron Salzberg, Director of UNC’s Water Institute.
