Module 1: Introduction to Generative AI

Generative AI is a rapidly emerging technology that has the potential to impact the way we teach, conduct research, and complete many of our work-related responsibilities. While AI itself is not a new technology, as many facets are already integrated into the technologies that we use every day, generative AI is unique because of its ability to complete tasks and create products (e.g., text, images, presentations) on demand. Because this module is the first one in this series, it is designed to have you first “play” with a popular piece of generative AI before learning about the way generative AI functions and the larger AI ecosystem.
