Each goal should be:
- Specific: Name the piece of generative AI you want to use or the skill set you wish to develop
- Measurable: Explain how you will use the AI or skill set in an observable and/or quantifiable manner
- Achievable: Make sure that your goal is realistic
- Relevant: Be certain that your use of the AI or skill set pertains to your work
- Time-Bound: Give yourself a specific chronological window for achieving the goal

Example Teaching SMART Goal
I will use ChatGPT to create lesson plan outlines for my EDUC 767 course during the 2023 fall semester.
Example Research SMART Goal
I will use Preplexity.ai to identify 10 articles for my current research project in conjunction with the University’s library database and Google Scholar.
Example Productivity SMART Goal
I will use Bing Chat to locate ideas for our program’s 2024 recruitment campaign.
