Recommended Teaching Strategy

Example 360° Learning Experience

Show the video to students, navigating around so they get a sense of the scene. Have students identify prices they see, encouraging them to think about various ways to “make” those numbers with different coin and bill combinations. Students can complete the recommended worksheet that focuses on currency denominations. Physical money manipulatives can help students model word problems to support their thinking.
