Common Core State Standard: CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.K.G.B.5
Model shapes in the world by building shapes from components (e.g., sticks and clay balls) and drawing shapes.
Objective
- View a 360 video and draw the shapes of various 3D objects.
Example 360° Learning Experience
In this activity, students are to identify shapes they can see in a grocery store. This is intended to be a small-group activity led by the teacher as part of a centers rotation model. Pre-readers will need assistance understanding what objects to represent. The teacher should play and pan through the video, asking questions about the attributes of different objects. The accompanying worksheet gives students space to draw the 2 or 3-D geometric equivalent of items in the video (e.g. a circle or sphere for an orange).
