Conduct a number talk using the corresponding video. Here are some questions to guide your discussions:
- If I already have two pumpkins in my basket, how many will I have altogether if I take all of the ones on the shelf with me?
- How can we quickly group the pumpkins on the shelf together? Count the total number on the shelf, starting from that number.
- How many pumpkins are on the shelf? How many are there if I include the one directly below the shelf?
