Welcome to the Edwards lab in the Department of Cell Biology and Physiology at UNC Chapel Hill!

Our research is focused on identifying essential cellular processes required for cardiac development and determining how these processes are altered in congenital heart disease. Our approach to investigating molecular mechanisms of heart development includes mammalian cell culture, genetic mouse models, biochemical/molecular studies, transcriptomics, and proteomics.
