The working groups are aimed at first and second year graduate students and meet Fridays at 9:00 a.m.
Our main goal will be to learn how to prepare a fellowship application, with an emphasis on the submission of the NSF GRF proposal.
Each meeting will feature both discussion and dedicated writing time. The participants will learn to break projects into concrete steps and avoid viewing long term projects as overwhelming. It will also help students develop time management skills by learning to estimate how long individual sub-tasks should take. Rather than focus on writing everything the first time, the working groups will focus on strategizing.
For more information, contact Yaiza Canzani and she will add you to the mailing list and Sakai site for the group.
