Katharine Conaway
Katharine graduated with a BS in environmental engineering from the University of Alabama and an MS in environmental engineering from the University of North Carolina. Her research has focused on fecal sludge management, drinking water monitoring, and heavy metals in drinking water. Her master’s thesis, for which Dr. Manga served as an advisor, was on fecal sludge management in Tamil Nadu, India. Since graduating, she has worked for the UNC Water Institute as a research assistant, and now works with the US Indian Health Service as an Environmental Engineer.
