Herbert Kaboggoza
Herbert Kaboggoza holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial chemistry and a master’s in Analytical Chemistry. His journey into environmental engineering at the Gillings School of Public Health, UNC-Chapel Hill, was inspired by witnessing the critical community health challenges linked to improper waste disposal and contaminated water sources.
Herbert’s research interests revolve around monitoring and removal of emerging contaminants, nanotechnology applications, circular economy initiatives, and innovative sludge and wastewater treatment technologies. His current research focuses on developing biomass-derived catalysts and adsorbents for on-site wastewater treatment.
