Research areas: The intersection between precision medicine method, especially ones for SMARTs, and the practice of collaborating.

Current Projects:

  • Lead Biostatistician for the BEST Trial (PI’s Mauck, Anstrom, and Kosorok): The BEST Trial is a 2-stage SMART for the treatment of chronic low back pain, as a part of the NIH HEAL initiative. We’re currently enrolling participants and working to build out the analysis plan.

  • Co-investigator for Teams-BP (PI’s Bushnell and Rosamond): Teams-BP is a PCORI funded clinical trial for the management of hypertension in stroke patients, as high blood pressure is a modifiable risk factor for the recurrence of stroke. We just completed a feasibility phase study, and are designing the full trial.
