Directed Reading Program

The mathematics department at UNC-CH leads a directed reading program where graduate students act as mentors for interested undergraduate math majors. These motivated undergraduates apply and express interest in one or two fields or projects. Graduate student volunteers are subsequently matched with applicants and the two decide on an appropriate topic, guiding text, and goal/motivation. Mentees present their semester’s work in an end of semester capstone talk given to other DRP mentees and mentors. For more information, visit the DRP homepage.
