Information for Administrators
Your assisted living community is invited to participate in a research study funded by the National Institute on Aging, which is studying two models of dementia care training, brought to you by the Alzheimer’s Association®:
- essentiALZ®, an online training and certification program
- Alzheimer’s and Dementia ECHO®, a virtual case-based learning program
Support your staff by giving them access to dementia care training resources, at no charge to you or your staff.
Why Participate?
Receive free training that may fulfill state training requirements
Reimbursement of up to $150.00 to participating staff for completing online questionnaires
Reimbursement of $200.00 to the community for participation
What’s Involved?
Assisted Living Community
- Advertise and encourage study participation to staff using materials provided by the research team
- Provide information about your care practices in three short telephone interviews over 6-months
- Provide a list of family member information allowing the research team to invite families to participate in a short interview about the resident (with their consent)
Assisted Living Staff
- Complete training and receive essentiALZ® certification and CE/CNE/NAB credit
- Complete 3 online questionnaires over 6-months
