FEMMES (Females Excelling More in Mathematics, Engineering, and Science) is a UNC-Chapel Hill Student Organization aimed at inspiring young female and non-binary students to pursue a STEM education.
We host a free day camp on UNC’s Campus where 200 campers ages 4th-6th grade gather for a day filled with science experiments, physics labs, and other STEM related activities. The activities are run by professors and graduate students from NCSU, UNC, and Duke. We hope to introduce them to the exciting science in higher education & reaffirm their interest in STEM fields.
