Peyton Cox
Hey! My name is Peyton Cox and I am a junior from Mooresville, NC. I am a double psychology B.A. and Peace war and defense major! I eventually hope to go to graduate school to pursue my Ph.D. in neuropsychology. My career interests include traumatic brain injuries in veterans which is why I added the PWAD major. I hope to take a gap year and travel the world once I graduate. I started out as a Biomedical engineering major because I felt that it was the best option, but taking my first psychology class quickly changed that. The higher the course level, the more interesting I find them to be. I find that psychology courses can be applied to everyone’s life. I struggled with mental health issues coming into Carolina, but psychology helped me find my way. As a result, I hope to one day help others who are struggling too. In my free time I love working out, eating purple bowl, I am an executive for Active Minds at Carolina and a member of Psi Chi, our national honors psychology fraternity here at UNC. I am always here to talk and willing to share my experiences so feel free to reach out!
