Child and Adolescent Immunization Schedule by Medical Indication – Recommendations for Ages 18 Years or Younger, United States, 2023
To make vaccination recommendations, healthcare providers should:
- Determine needed vaccines based on age (Table 1)
- Determine appropriate intervals for catch-up, if needed (Table 2)
- Assess for medical conditions and other indications (Table 3)
- Review special situations (Vaccination Notes)
- Review contraindications and precautions to vaccination (Appendix)

Report the following:
- Suspected cases of reportable vaccine-preventable diseases or outbreaks to your state or local health department
