1. Asian/Pacific American Librarian Association (APALA)

Mission: “APALA is a professional library organization dedicated to cultivating Asian Pacific American leadership through mentorship and professional engagement, advancing social justice, and providing opportunities for dialogue and networking  to promote the needs of APA professionals and those who serve APA communities.”

2. Chinese American Librarians Association (CALA)

Mission: “To support the professional development and research scholarship of CALA members, advocate Chinese American librarians in professional organizations and enhance the leadership development of Chinese American librarians through training, mentoring, networking, and collaboration with colleagues in the United States and abroad. CALA’s work inspires Chinese American librarians to meet their professional goals and to make valuable contributions to the global library community.”

Purpose: “up//root is a space for Black + Indigenous + Persons of Color to share their research and meditations on their knowledge, experiences and ways of being in libraries and archives. It is meant as a place for collaboration, growth, learning, understanding, and community, grounded in criticality, antiracism, and anti-oppression.”
