In Chapel Hill… In Paris, France… In NYC… Julia Fairchild Roth, reporting. Whether competing in a club field hockey game or traveling to another country, Roth (‘23) looks for the story in every person, moment and scene around her. Sparked by a love of sports, literature, television and film, her passion for journalism has fueled her drive to produce new narratives. The 5-year goal (ticking down to 1) is combining her studies in history and French with her skills from Hussman’s Sports Xtra, ACCN’s GoHeels, WRAL’s sports section and NBC Sport’s Olympics team to join the Paris 2024 Olympics production team in France. After that? Who knows… it’s just another story she’ll have to chase.
