Wrapped up finishing touches to codebase, uploaded all code to local computer. Demonstrated new functionalities to the client and went through the hand-off procedure. Recorded the demo. Made some cool waves via the Wavemaker 😀

Demo sent to Sam, updated on current progress and decided how to proceed with client handoff plan and final features that we need to add to the project.

Full team meeting in the lab to continue pytest implementation and make sure all the hardware is working accordingly with added changes. Meetings with client scheduled.

Database implementation complete, modified scripts so that MongoDB also runs when we start the GUI.

Implementation of pytest in progress. Pymongo and MongoDB are now installed and working with actually loading runs to the database. Discussion of final client handoff.

Meeting at the lab to discuss MongoDB demo. Still yet to have fully functioning database in the computer lab. However, progress has been done with understanding MongoDB and trying to locate where analytics files are retrieved (future use: input those into the database once set up).

Discussed what we learned about MongoDB: we practiced some sample queries on MongoDB Compass, linking and testing with Python / PyMongo. Outlined processes that we will be demonstrating for our upcoming Tech Talk and planned mock data.

Updates on both pair programming partners (Nila & Mateo on database, Gabby & Sarikha on testing). Agreeing on our topic and its breakdown between members for the tech talk.

We discussed a concrete plan four tech talk such as slide and speaking roles and the theme. We also laid out what about MongoDB we want to talk about. In addition, we finished the APPLES reflection and each wrote our respective parts while editing together.

Discussed our progress with the testing and the database, along with how we should proceed with the documentation assignment. Planning a testing demo next week. Talked us through some debugging for importing pytest.

Developed a Sprint Plan for Setting up a Mongo Database
Sprint 1) Set up mongodb locally (on Windows) and go to lab and install it
Sprint 2) Add some sort of python driver to seamlessly integrate mongodb with existing python code (probably pymongo)
Sprint 3) Figure out how to parse .log files and add all preexisting log files them to database via python scripting (under analytics folder)
Sprint 4) Write the python functionality for adding new runs into newly created database
Tuesday, October 31, 2023, 12:30 p.m- Team Meeting
As a team we met up in the fluids lab. Nila and Mateo pair programmed on the MongoDB integration on the computer for the wavemaker. Gabby and Sarika set up testing for the model class and added several tests. We also tested the wavemaker to search for bugs and found none despite being told there would be.

Mainly clearing doubts of how to proceed with current complications. Updated coach on our progress and also discussed our two options for upcoming Tech Talk.
Monday, October 23, 2023, 1:00 p.m. – Team Meeting
After discussing what requirements we were going to start with, we split up the roles for pair programming. Also started sprints with respect to incorporation of MongoDB database and fixing current bugs.
Sunday, October 8, 2023, 1:00 p.m. – Team Meeting
Discussed details of midterm presentation such as delegating slides and powerpoint design. We Reviewed our architecture diagram and cleaned it up. We created a timeline for finishing our slides and choosing when to meet to practice presentation. Finally, we refined our platform selection and finished our ethics assignment.

Tested the existing GUI + hardware to find where it was failing. Progress done towards Midterm presentation (we also gathered screenshots of our current work) and decisions on how to go forward were made (implementing database to then check results and see if we can implement the ML model on time).

Reviewed Ethics Assignment and discussed Platform Selection / Architecture Diagram. We need to update and go a little more in depth in terms of write-up analysis (pros + cons, alternatives) for our platform selection. However, decisions and rationale were good according to coach.

Went over Ethics Assignment (A1) and finishing touches on Architecture Diagram. We also decided on how to divide the Midterm Presentation and started doing some progress on it. Planning to meet 1-2 more times later this week.

Went over D1.Specifications and went over future plans which include creating the platform selection and midterm powerpoint. Also familiarizng through the codebase.
Monday, September 25, 2023, 1:00 p.m. – Team Meeting
Caught teammates up on the previous Coach Meeting. Modified user stories for D1. Specifications. Finished writing about functionalties for D1. Specifications. Planning on purchasing flash drive to retrieve code for meeting tomorrow. Also planning on using manual to revert the GUI to previous working state. Discussed working on the ethics assignment on this following Wednesday.
Friday, September 22, 2023, 6:00 p.m.- Coach Meeting
Discussed next steps for project. We were told that we need to modify our 2nd and 3rd user stories for clarity and removing sensitive client information. We talked about how we received documentation from client and how we will access to the codebase next week.
Tuesday, September 19, 2023, 1:00 p.m.- Client Meeting Initial meeting with Wavemaker client. We discussed initial need-to-know topics such as tech stack, goals for the semester, and problems with existing GUI.
Tuesday, September 19, 2023, 12:30 pm – Coach Meeting Discussed the next steps for the project, such as user stories and tech stack decisions. We also discussed what to talk about in our first client meeting.
