About Me
Hello! Welcome to my website! My name is Flynn Reed I am a current graduate student at the University of North Carolina. I am currently receiving a Master of Arts in Educational Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship.
I received a bachelors degree in elementary education with a concentration in science from East Carolina University. At ECU I was able to learn time management, leadership, and collaboration skills while balancing academics and playing on the Division 1 Women’s lacrosse team. I decided to enter into UNC’s MEITE program because I wanted to expand my knowledge about different career roles outside of education I may be interested in. I decided to take the Eduprenuer track within the MEITE program to expand upon my education degree. The Eduprenuer track has opened me to the world of Edtech and starting an educational venture.
I am also currently a student athlete at the University of North Carolina playing women’s lacrosse since I had an extra year of eligibility since the COVID- 19 Pandemic.
Within the past year the NCAA approved a new rule that has since changed the world of college athletics. This is student athletes being able to benefit off of their Name, Image, and Likeness within the NCAA, I was fortunate enough to score an internship with the NIL Department at UNC. I have always loved sports and been interested in possibly going into a career in sports, so this has been a super fun and interesting experience thus far.
The MEITE program has been a fantastic experience so far and I cannot wait to see what further opportunities come from me participating in this program.
