This TikTok is a parody of my artifact, Big Little Lies. It features a man walking into a room with a glass of wine with the caption “Rich white mom that works too hard and misses their child’s bedtime” with the show’s theme song playing in the background. I’d say it’s very successful at making fun of the show because this is a storyline that occurs often in Big Little Lies, especially with the character Renata, who is portrayed as a busy, hardworking woman that is not often home with her daughter. This tiktok user has done quite a few videos making fun of these tropes, and they are usually very funny and successful. People who have seen the show can easily recognize the similarities.
