Parody and Satire-Noah Burnette

The video I chose for this assignment was the Key and Peele skit about Barack Obama and his translator, Luther. This skit was a parody and has the set made to look as if Obama is speaking at a press conference. The imitation of Barack’s voice is absolutely spot on and when you add the translator, who is supposed to say how Obama truly feels, it makes the skit that much funnier. It is successful in showing how Obama speaks to an audience but does not make fun of Obama and the press conferences he speaks at. The skit is trying to show their audience what Obama actually wants to say but since that cannot be confirmed, it wasn’t successful in that aspect.
