Parody & Satire – Rosie Xiao

I found a meme which makes fun of my artifact. The meme has to two parts, the upper part is a cat eating lots of different kind of food with the text ‘’The thought I received from pop music’, and the lower part is another cat eating just lettuce and with the text “The thought I received from classical music.”

I think this is just a parody because it just shows some personal opinion instead of ‘slander’ the artifact. In our daily life, we keep in touch with the pop music mush more than the classical music, thus it is common that we feel less from the classical music. I don’t think it uses any conventions and it is succeed in comment the artifact. Because I do think that it is harder to understand the music made by classical instruments of in the classical style, we usually have to do some background information. Thus, I think that this meme not only makes a fun but also shows some fact.
