Good Remix – Javier Serrato Rojas

I don’t believe there is a such thing as objectively good or bad because everything revolves around opinion and your interpretation of the art. Liking or disliking is all based on your personal experiences and what you personally find appealing which is different among many individual, even if the criticism is about more structural aspect like production or whether a storyline make sense. Usually when stuff is deemed objectively bad or good it usually because the general public has reached that consensus, therefore, it meets a set of societal standards that make up its rating.

In my opinion what makes a remix good is originality and making it unique. A good remix would take from the original or alter the original to make it distinct from previous work, however, these aspect need to be recognizable from the original to be good. Most remixes must feel as if they adding a new aspect to the art that enhances and makes something more enjoyable and not seem as though someone is just taking work and using in their own without the right intentions.
