Lessig Introduction – Javier Serrato

The introduction of Remix lays out clear issues in current copyrights laws. In my experience copyrights has always protected artists and their work, however, with todays current use of social media and creative platforms those who don’t intend on profiting or stealing work often end up getting marginalized. I believe copyrights should be altered to be more detail in a manner that can protect artist’s craft while not interfering with the work of those who are not intending to take credit or distribute the work of others. Although this is a change that I believe is needed I still believe it should be approached with the priority of protecting artists.
