For me, I would not change our current copyright laws. The stories from the introduction of REMIX by Lessig do show that there are some shortages of our current copyright laws. However, I don’t think we have any strategies which could not only improve the law but also keep the ‘work’ be safety at the same time.

From the introduction, Lenz posted her son’s singing video on YouTube just for sharing it with her relatives instead of earning any profit from it; Breitz created the museum activities was to show the power and enthusiasm with non-profit and Gillis remixed the music was also just for culture innovation.

From our point of view, we know that these people were used the other’s work for non-profit purpose. Nevertheless, if the law gives them a way to pass the copyright needing, there must be someone in the future who use this ‘way’ to Infringe the rights of the authors or the owners. The main idea of the existing of copyright is to protect the works and the authors. When there are some none-adjustable conflicts between copyright and so as innovation and convenience base on the work of art, protect the copyright may be more important than the other things.
