Video Versus Traditional Essay

Video essays have more appeal to me than traditional essays because they engage more than one form of learning. While traditional essays appeal to reading learners, video essays have the advantage of appealing to visual and auditory learners. Video essays, at least in the example of the video “How Marvelman Changed Superheroes” offer changing visuals which make holding an attention span easier for some. With images constantly popping up and changing, it’s easier for visual learners like myself to track what’s going on versus struggling to focus on black words on a white background. Ultimately both forms of essays are efficient and fulfill their purposes, which is “better” is subjective and depends on each individuals preferred method of learning.
