Video vs. Traditional Essay

Video essays give the viewer more of a visual and auditory view on a matter rather than just reading words in a traditional essay. You can actually show the point you want to say rather than having to just explain it and hope the reader can imagine it in their mind. The problem with that is everyone thinks different and it can lead to a large variety of ideas, but with a video essay, the viewer can see what you want them to. When comparing the Marvel video essay to the “Instagram Activism” article, the video essay was so much easier to get through because the various visual examples made it more eventful but also easier to comprehend. The instagram article made some good points as well but being able to watch and learn rather than read and learn is why I feel the video essay is a better way to “teach” something.
