Song Sample Response – Rosie Xiao

I am interested in a song called ‘Next Level’ by Aespa. This song is sampled and recomposed the ‘Next Level’ by Aston Wyld. The one by Aston Wyld is the OST of the movie ‘Fast and Furious’, it shows the tight plot and irritative atmosphere in the movie. As the whole movie represents rebellious spirit and hedonism, the song is also show with enthusiasm. For the version from Aespa, they change the music to the K-pop style. The music central idea changes from enthusiasm to nifty, and they add a lyric part in the mid of the music. I think for the song ‘Next Level’, it not only a music recompose and sample, but also show as a culture exchange.
