I chose to look up “Kiss Me More” by the artists Doja Cat and SZA on the sample website. The song has always felt familiar to me in a way that I could not put my finger on. The “Kiss Me More” is unique for this time in history due to its funky, almost disco-like sound. I also think the duet of Doja Cat and SZA is very dynamic. You have Doja Cat with a light, bouncy voice and SZA with a smooth, R&B voice. I learned through the website that the song “Kiss Me More” is a sample of Olivia Newton-John’s “Physical”. The choruses of these two songs are almost identical in nature. Using the sample of “Physical” in “Kiss Me More” gives the song an upbeat, retro effect.
