Caroline Huffman Song Sample

The song I chose to search was “The Way Life Goes” by Lil Uzi Vert. This particular song contains two samples: Landslide by Oh Wonder. This song is an interesting choice of sample since it is more of an indie song. Lil Uzi Vert is a well known rapper, and it is much less likely to find an indie sample within a rap song. However, the sample is perfectly mixed in. Landslide has a very serious meaning, and Lil Uzi Vert implemented the same topics within his song. The sample gives the rap song a slower, laid back feeling. Overall, though, the song has a deep meaning; the slowness of the music makes it feel more intense.
