Infringement Case- Vanilla Ice vs David Mecury/David Bowie

Vanilla Ice’s 1981 hit “Ice Ice Baby” was sampled from the song Under Pressure by Queen, but did not give credit to the group. When Queen threatened to sue, the case was handled out of court with a settlement payment. This case is one of the most high profile because both songs are iconic hits for each artist/group.
