DRM – Caroline Huffman

I concur that beginning to stream tv/movies/music has had a positive impact on DRM.  Streaming services, whether it be netflix, spotify, etc, give incentives to the customer to not pirate their services. For example, a netflix subscription is around ten dollars a month which is roughly the price of one DVD. Therefore, it is cheaper to buy that streaming service, which includes an endless amount of shows and movies, than it is to buy multiple DVDs. On another hand, it may be easier to copy their services. Streaming services have made it easier to remix/sample things. Although you do not own the song or movie, it is much easier to download and remix something. Overall, streaming services have impacted DRM for the better since, in my opinion, the option to simply buy an entire service is easier and cheaper.
