Thumbnail Draft Reflection

Creating my YouTube thumbnail draft proved to be a challenging and enlightening assignment. At the time of creating my draft, I had not selected my cultural artifact, and therefore my draft is just based on random YouTube thumbnails I have seen in the past. I tried to create a “click-bait” style thumbnail by using large and aggressive text, urging the viewer to visit certain places before they are 40. The background images are also “click-bait” because they are some of the most well-known landmarks in the world. Overall, this assignment gave me the opportunity to practice creating something in the digital world (something I have seldom done in the past), as well as helping me better chose my cultural artifact going forward.
