Lessig Introduction

I watch a lot of YouTube videos, and many of the youtubers I have watched have had videos removed from their channels due to copyright infringement. After reading Lessig Introduction it reinforced an idea I have had in regards to how Copyright should change. I understand wanting to retain credit for one’s work, but there is a stark difference between using the music of an artist for a few moments to one that utilizes the entirety of the song for the sole purpose of free distribution. The copyright laws should change to prevent videos that utilize small portions of copyrighted songs from being targeted with copyright infringements. This allows people to utilize seconds of a song without having their video being completely removed and still allows for penalties for those who use the entirety of a song that could be downloaded for free from said video without paying for the entire song.
