ShiftOverflow is an existing project, and as such our platform component choices are limited by the technologies that the system already employs. The primary programming language used for the web app is JavaScript. The frontend is augmented by a React framework. The backend is built using Node.js. Database components are managed using Redis alongside MySQL. The client has requested that the system, which is currently hosted by AWS, is moved to CloudApps.
