Kinetik is a start-up company founded in 2021 by a group of UNC students and is currently run by Launch Chapel Hill. The goals and values of Kinetik is developing a forecasting model which underpins enterprise revenue growth through go-to market optimization for large enterprises through pipeline velocity metrics, predictive analytics, and simulation. The company’s mission is to help businesses overcome the challenges they face in growing their revenue by providing actionable insights into their go-to-market models.

One of the key needs that Kinetik is meeting is the lack of visibility that many large enterprises have into the constraining factors of their go-to-market models. By analyzing pipeline velocity metrics, Kinetik can help identify bottlenecks in the sales, marketing, and delivery processes, enabling businesses to optimize their go-to-market strategies and drive growth.

The importance of meeting this need cannot be overstated, as businesses that are unable to optimize their go-to-market models may struggle to grow and compete effectively. The work that we are doing on this project will impact this need by providing a user-friendly solution that enables businesses to analyze and optimize their go-to-market models with ease, instead of having to figure out the previous, unintelligible excel model. By leveraging pipeline velocity metrics, predictive analytics, and simulation, our user interface will help to abstract away the complicated steps of the previous process. By the end of the semester, the user will be able to simply upload their historical data to the UI and visualize changes to the input variables that they make. This will provide actionable insights that businesses can use to improve their performance and drive growth.

This strong emphasis on user experience and ease of use in the software we are developing means that businesses of all sizes and levels of technical proficiency can benefit from the solution, regardless of their industry or market.
